MCPS licences the making of mechanical copies (i.e. recording onto a CD, tape, video or DVD) of copyright music on behalf of its composer and music publishing members.

Performing Right Society (PRS)

PRS licenses the performing right in copyright music on behalf of its composer and music publishing members.

Phonographic Performance Ltd (PPL)

PPL licenses the public performance, broadcasting and cable programme rights in sound recordings (i.e. CD's, records, tapes etc) on behalf of their record company members and performers.

Video Performance Ltd (VPL)

VPL is very similar to PPL and license the public use of music videos controlled by their record company members.
